Talk to the guy that writes the small business insurance, for a referral to a health insurance agent in your area. Small groups are individually rated, so it could end up costing you a WAY lot.
The best way to find out what you want to know is to speak with 2 or 3 health insurance agents in your area and select one you are comfortable with to help you. There are hundreds of plans available and it can get vary confusing unless you work with someone that has experience.
In California health insurance rates are published for groups with 2 to 50 employees. If everyone has cancer the only thing the insurance company can do is raise the standard published rate by 10%. Other than that it is guaranteed issue. Other states have their own rules.
